I am posting this post verbatim from http://www.unitedforcare.org/right_before_my_dad_passed because it is vital that Florida enact this law, I beg all Floridians to get out and vote for this on November 4, 2014. Although over 80% of Floridians believe Medical Marijuana should be available to people like myself who are suffering the measure requires over 60% of the voters to vote in favor for it to pass and become law. Strangely, many of the opponents to this measure are not residents of Florida and I have read that the largest contributor that funds the opposition movement supports Medical Marijuana in Israel, but opposes it in Florida. Please get out and vote and consider volunteering to knock on doors or contribute to this effort in anyway you can.

I believe this to be a very worthy cause & have shared the word.
My mother passed from cancer & because it was illegal she would not partake.
She took other legal drugs & I think that if it had been legal she would have not suffered as much as she did.

Oh Billy, I’m so sorry to hear that. And you’re right, if it would have been legal she wouldn’t have thought twice about taking it. Any drug that makes someone’s life better, be it take away pain, or anxiety or what ever. Can’t be a bad thing. No one has ever died from Marijuana.
Pain Management is horrible in this country. And I believe that the pharmaceutical industry has something to do with it. If marijuana is going to give someone relief from pain then how can it be wrong. Quality of life is so important.
I remember after my first back surgery the surgeon only gave me a script for thirty pills. Take one every four to six hours. By day four we were panicking. Mike had to work so Mom called the Doctors office. And they didn’t want to give me anymore. I can remember hearing her scream, “Do I have to go score some on the corner in order to give my daughter some relief”? No one should have to go through pain like that. And no Mom, Dad, Husband, Wife, Son or Daughter should have to watch as their loved one suffers. Not when there are drugs out there that can ease the pain. This has to change. Thanks for sharing Billy.
