Debacle of fiascos, Florida’s disabilities hearings.
When I review the facts of Social Security Disability hearings I found the fiasco of the debacle in my own backyard.
Initially, the national picture is bleak as discussed by Boston Lawyers, J.S.G.-Glassman. On their blog of January 9, 2014 titled “Government Changes Rules for SSD Judges” http://www.massachusettssocialsecuritydisabilitylawyersblog.com/2014/01/government-changes-rules-for-ssd-judges.html
The article is quick to point out that nationally Social Security is facing budget difficulties even though we have all paid into the program our entire working lives.
“The Social Security Administration has made it very difficult for applicants to qualify for disability benefits through either the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program or through Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI). Although these programs both are paid for by taxpayers and are supposed to provide necessary financial support to the disabled, the denial rate for applicants is greater than 50 percent.”
